Dealing with Pride

"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall"- Proverbs 16:18

Every person deals with pride in their lives, either pride within themselves or pride within people around them. The Word of God clearly says in Proverbs 11:2-"When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom". There are a lot of circumstances in life where you may feel that you have achieved a lot, you boast about your achievements, either at your workplace or in your education or in your family. You may have achieved a lot in this world, but when you forget that it is only by God's grace you have gained everything and start thinking that you are someone great and have done everything by yourself, there enters pride. Pride is a tool of satan to devour your spirit and to cause your downfall. Pride is a sin. It is clearly said in the book of Proverbs 21:4-"A high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin. Beware of satan in every walk of life as he may plant the seed of pride in your heart if you are not strong in faith. 

Prayer, being humble and always praising our Lord Jesus Christ for whatever you have and whatever you are today is the one and only solution to avoid the sin of pride. For the word of God says in James 4:10-"Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. The Lord will reward you for your humility. Let not pride deceive you. Satan will tell you many things, that you are great, you are good enough to do everything alone by yourself, but remember that is a LIE. Do not try to elevate yourself above God. It will only lead to destruction. God is our Maker and he has created everything around you. The truth is, only by his grace and mercies you are alive today, you have been saved and you are what you are. The Lord may be your strength and fortress and he may keep you away from the sin of pride. Always live for the glory of God.

As the Word of God says "Marriage is honourable in all" in Hebrews 13:4, Marriage is the most sacred and holy commitment made by humans. The concept of Marriage was instituted by God himself in the Garden of Eden. As we all know, nowadays, the importance of marriage is not being understood by people. Guard your WORDS!
